Nottoway Announces Restoration and Renovation Plans
Paul Ramsay of Sydney, Australia, owner of
Nottoway Plantation, is pleased to announce an ongoing restoration and
renovation throughout 2008. Ramsay has owned Nottoway since 1985 and is
conducting the second major restoration initiative since the home’s
previous owner Arlin Dease opened the property for public tours in the
early 1980’s.
Just south of Baton Rouge at the edge of sugar cane fields, Nottoway stands overlooking the Mississippi River. Completed in 1859, the 53,000 square foot mansion reflects an unusual combination of Greek revival architecture and the innovative desires of the original owner, John Hampden Randolph.
149 years later, Nottoway is a haven for those wanting to make the most of their special occasion. 15 guest rooms and our 250-seat dinning hall makes everything from relaxing weekends to storybook weddings possible. Call to schedule your day at Nottoway!
